Hello, my name is Devon Raad and I am the Owner of Brookside Children’s Early Education Center’s. Here at Brookside our mission is “Striving for Excellence in Early Childhood Education” by providing a safe, fun and stimulating environment for all children, while providing a foundation for social & emotional development to lead children to a purposeful, fulfilling life to Be Respectful, Be Safe, Be a Friend, Be Responsible. Teaching children truth and respect at an early age will enrich children with morals that will last a lifetime.
We believe with a good start and a quality Early Education environment your child will thrive. As a result, they will reach milestones along the way. It takes a village to raise a child. So as a team, Brookside staff, parents, guardians, grandparents, pediatricians, community & therapists will be committed with helping you raise a happy, confident & well-rounded child. Debi Hogan
Acting Director – East Penn Location
Hello, my name is Debi Hogan. Providing the foundation to encourage a lifelong love of learning is very important. I have worked here at Brookside for the past fifteen-plus years. Beginning as a Teacher’s Aide, I later became the Lead Teacher. Eventually, I became the Assistant Director, and later, the Acting Director. I am currently finishing my CDA and will soon be applying for my Director’s Certificate. I am honored to be the acting Director assisting Miss Devon in this wonderful environment for children.
To begin with, I was born and raised in Whitehall, PA. I’ve earned a BFA in Fine Arts: Illustration from Marywood University in Dunmore, PA. I love being creative and encourage children to do the same. While at college, I met my wonderful husband. Ryan and I have been happily married for 17 years. We live in Macungie and have the most incredible 11-year-old son ever. Noah will be attending 6th grade at Lower Macungie Middle School in the Fall. When I can find a moment to myself I love to garden, paint, and sew things for our home. As a family, we love to spend time outdoors playing, watching sports, and listening to Bruce Springsteen or 80’s bands. My husband and son are Orioles and Cowboys fans. I guess, by default, I am too.
