Welcome to Brookside’s Pre-Kindergarten 1 classroom. All of Brookside’s classrooms are set-up into learning centers that are age appropriate for each age group and designed with child development in mind. In our Pre-Kindergarten classroom, the children will be able to explore their new environment that is enriched in materials that include a Reading Center, Reading Loft Area, Listening Center, Block Center, Dramatic Play Area, Music, and Movement Center, Creative Art and Writing Center, Science and Math Center. Most of the learning experiences start around 9:30 am after a snack. This learning time is called “Centers.” This is a time when children are involved in learning experiences related to the weekly theme. During this time creative art, reading, writing, science and mathematics skills are worked on through our posted curriculum.

Lead Pre-K 1 Teacher
My name is Miss Luci. I am Lead teacher in the Preschool room. I have been working in childcare for 17 years. I love working with children, and enjoy coming to work every day, ready for a new adventure. It is very rewarding to see each and every child explore, learn and grow, and to know that I am able to make a difference in their lives every day is the biggest reward of all! I have my Associates Degree in Business Administration-Management/Marketing, as well as, my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education/Early Intervention. I also have my Director’s Certification. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my son, going four-wheeling with my jeep, and camping.
Assistant Pre-K 1 Teacher
Hello, my name is Brittany Bossert and I am an Assistant Teachers in the Pre-Toddler room. I like working in child care at Brookside because everyone here is so friendly and nice. I love working in the Pre-Toddler room because I like watching them learn and grow. They are so cute and silly and they make me smile and laugh every day. I have been working with kids at my church since I was 12 years old in the different children’s programs. I graduated from Emmaus High School and took a few Early Childhood Education classes at LCCC after that. I am currently working on earning my CDAIn my spare time I like to spend time with my family and my two dogs; Cooper and Dixie-Belle. I also enjoy volunteering at my church with the children and youth group activities.
